There are still some good colleges out there...
« on: December 05, 2020, 09:21:39 AM »
  Do you have some kids or grandkids ready to go to college?  Sure, most colleges are a mess of liberals and "newspeak", as defined in Orwell's 1984.  ..But there are still some good ones out there.
  I just saw an interview conducted with Dr. Larry Arnn, president of Hillsdale college.  He is a real, down to earth guy, who exudes great wisdom.  In the interview, both he and the interviewer spoke of greatness.  They agreed to the idea that two people inrecent history had just  the right combination of virtues and attributes to place them among the all time greats as statesmen. Namely WS Churchill and A Lincoln.

  When the interviewer asked if anyone in the newer crop could possibly develop into that kind of greatness, Dr Arnn said it is quite early to tell if Trump could completely make the grade.
  There were three others he listed, who he considered to have Churchillian or Llincolnesque potential, yet to be realized...
  Those three being Vice President Mike Pence, Justice Clarence Thomas and Sen Tom Cotton !  Frankly, I could concur with that ..what say you?

  Here is a short clip (under a minute) of Dr Arnn speaking on the importance of students learning American history;

  BTW: Unlike most college presidents, and perhaps sharing his identity with many of us..Dr Arnn has a son serving in the 82nd Airborne.
