I will give the RC, and some other not so well known, church credit for remembering memorable Christian Days, if not celebrating but acknowledging them still.
The Lutherans, most when I was young, had services on some of these days to acknowledge up to the seventies.
At that we were at least taught, as youths, that they existed and why they existed.
It is SAD, that they, and I hate to say it, I miss some of the odd little secular days that used to get a brief moment in the sun, such as May Day, when I was young, as they are fading away while at the same time too many branches of supposed Christian denominations, including Lutheran, are coddling secular perversions that are queer at best and absolute sleaze at worst.
