Cuomo and "newspeak"
« on: January 15, 2021, 10:08:55 AM »
I trust that most here have read or are moderately familiar with Orwell's novel.. "1984" !  Newspeak is a way of twisting words to make the most egregious lie sound like a plausible idea.
Here is an example of how Andrew Cuomo does it !
  https://www.foxnews.com/politics/new-york-cuomo-signs-protect-our-courts-ice-arrests-undocumented

   ..From the text:

"New legislation in New York will bar federal immigration agents from making arrests inside state courthouses without a judicial warrant, a move seen as pushback against President Trump's hardline immigration policies.

The Protect Our Courts Act, signed Tuesday, comes amid concerns from immigration advocates that fears of being arrested deter undocumented immigrants from making court appearances. The bill prevents Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents without a warrant signed by a federal judge, from arresting anyone inside a statehouse, or those going to or leaving a court proceeding.

"Unlike this federal government, New York has always protected our immigrant communities," N.Y. Gov. Andrew Cuomo said in a news release. "This legislation will ensure every New Yorker can have their day in court without fear of being unfairly targeted by ICE or other federal immigration authorities."

Have you read it?  The bill is called, "The protect our courts act"... but very obviously, it doesn't do anything for the courts.
It does however, protect illegal aliens who sneaked into our country !

..Another lie by the writer of the article... When they speak of Trump's "hardline immigration policies".  Trump's immigration policies are not "hard line', but rather doing what is right and according to the law.
"They have the guns and therefore we are for peace and for reformation through the ballot. When we have the guns, then it will be through the bullet"      (Saul Alinsky) ...hero of the left..

Well God inspired science fiction writers to write of a future they did not live in; while the future in the novels may not be exactly as what is, it foretells the type of society that allows such futures to happen.
The last days will actually be last years, and maybe decades, but what is happening should be no surprise to those that read history of man serving man as there will be one final failure which leads to God saying -- enough is enough.
