It was heartening to see Governor Abbott take a stand on oil and gas for Texas, fortunately Texas doesn't have much in the way of federal lands so we are able to keep on with exploration and production and won't be impacted by his moratorium on federal leasing for oil and gas exploration. As radical as Biden and his handlers have been with a multitude of executive orders and over reach I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before he/they try to impose an order banning fracing no matter federal or private land. That is where Abbott's exec order counts the most and has Texas on the ready to monitor and respond as quickly as possible. It has a lot of people wondering if they will try to nationalize minerals and their harvesting like most countries have done no matter the private ownership of the surface lands.
