I've bought on GB but never sold anything. I've never had a bad experience. In fact most of the used rifles I've bought have showed in better shape then I expected. YMMV

Very much so. Especially if looking for specific models that may be hard to find.

Reason I ask is because I have the holy grail of Remington 760’s. It is a 35 Remington in a carbine version. Metal is near perfect the stock is flecking some of the varnish and don’t think a normal forum would cough up the coin...

I had one of those, nice rifle but it had feeding issues and was to young and dumb to send it back and have it fixed. I traded it for a Marlin of the same caliber. I liked the Rem but have been happier with my lever.

I'll be losing sleep tonight thinking about that one. And the fact that I'm close enough for a face to face deal makes it even worse. Thanks alot buddy.................. >:(

I've never had a bad experience buying or selling on gunbroker.

I bought and sold on Gun Broker but it is not what it used to be 10 years ago.
Nothing to do with operating mode but mostly people selling only for a set price or a over top starting bid.

I bought two guns years ago on it. First one was a very smooth transaction. Second one was for a 444p marlin. I sent the money and after a week and half the gun didnt arrive. I emailed the guy probably 20 times. Tried getting helf from gun broker and they about told me tough crap. i gave up and figured i lost my 450 bucks. About 2 months later i got an email from the wife of the guy appolgizing and she told me her husband was selling guns because he was dieing of cancer and died in the middle of this transaction and he finally found my emails on his account. She said she didnt know about it and had sold the gun localy and refunded all my money. But beware. If someone burns you gun broker will not help.

I have both bought and sold on GB, no issues with any transaction that I've done.  What I have experienced when buying is seller holding my gun until funds clear then shipping, I don't have a problem with that.  I usually send a money order so I don't have to pay a 3% fee.

You could do the same with your rifle, just start with a reserve and see where it goes.....
