Football roast
« on: March 04, 2021, 09:02:32 AM »
Pressure cooked for 40 mins then turned the cooker to slow cook for six hrs. Cut up 1/2 onion, 3 garlic cloves whole, couple splashes of soy sauce, black pepper, 1 beef bouillon cube and covered with water. I also cut the roast into muscle sections and removed all sinew and glandular material. I took out the meat and set the rest to the side. Kids had 3 sandwiches each for lunch. One with Swiss the other with American. I heard my son say it was out of this world...

The roast that is on top of the knee of a deer. Called that due to its shape. Some would call it a sirloin tip roast I believe but that is correct for cattle...

Is that about the same as a pike peek roast. I have found that these insta pots work great same thing really as a pressure cooker but electronic controlled

Well. That roast turned into 13 sandwiches. I also cut a couple small steaks out of the bigger muscle group, rolled it in bacon grease and fried it for breakfast yesterday with a couple eggs and toast. Not even a sniff left now...
