Everything that I have read about loading for the BPCR indicates that a bullet with a flat base be used unless you are paper patching, then a bullet with a cupped base is used. My question is has anyone tried a bullet with a boat-tail base or a gas check bullet without the gas check using a thicker wad such as leather between the powder and the bullet? If so, what were your results?
