Well just when I thought that was all
« on: May 26, 2021, 03:27:08 PM »
I watched a "new " television preacher,
and I've seen a new gimmick that I've
never seen before.
If you call in right now, we'll send you
this "sackcloth " apron to pray with

It looks like a little piece of burlap
sewn into an apron shape, about
the size of a dolls apron

It comes with the bottle of
miracle oil to anoint yourself
with, the 58 blessings sheet
to read,  and a tracing of the
pastor's hand that you write
your blessings requests on,
and send it back and the pastor
will touch it and pray to fulfill
your blessings
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

I'm sorry, I didn't pay any attention to
who it was. I was trying to get some
supper ready and had changed channels
trying to get the delayed news broadcast
and heard him talking about the sackcloth
robe he had made to wear during his
time he spent fasting and praying in
the wilderness ( his backyard?) and
prostrating himself on the ground and
more fasting and praying.
Afterward, he had the robe cut into
small pieces and made into little
apron shapes to send out with the
blessings packets to those who
call in.  The one sheet of paper
reminded me of when I was little
and the school teacher had us
trace our hand on a piece of paper
and color it with crayons

I haven't seen the Jordan river
water pastor in a long time.
The address where the little
plastic bag of water came from
was north of here a couple of
blocks in an old building that
was once a small auto parts
place back before this area
was annexed by Dallas.
It's been a taqueria for a couple
of years now
There's no river anywhere
nearby, or not even a spring
There was maybe a water well
back in the 1800's, or maybe not.
Maybe they got some of Dallas's
special Jordan water piped in
