Bombing was delayed because the soldiers were stoned.

Task & Purpose reports that a Canadian bombardier is facing a court martial on account of having allegedly made marijuana cupcakes for an artillery battery, rendering unsuspecting soldiers too high to function.

Chelsea Cogswell, while working in the canteen, is accused of serving those confections to several members of the Royal Regiment of the Canadian Artillery School, who’d planned to participate in a July 2018 live action drill.

All but one of the soldiers who ate a laced cupcake was overcome by debilitating symptoms including “dehydration, overheating, fatigue, confusion, dry mouth and paranoia,” according to court documents.

A medical technician tended to those who fell ill and military police were notified.

“Several affected members were allegedly unable to properly execute safe weapons and explosive handling drills,” the case leveling 18 charges against Cogswell states.

A Canadian military spokesperson told CTV News that Cogswell is believed to be the first member of the Canadian military to face a court martial for “administering cannabis to colleagues without their consent.”

Cogswell is scheduled to face a hearing in August and could face up to two years in prison, CTV reports. Canadian troops are reportedly allowed to consume marijuana, though not within 24-hours of handling ammunition.

The incident occurred in the Canadian province of New Brunswick, which shares a border with Maine.

Still trying to figure what a clobbered ice cream shop in Gaza has to do with some stoned artillerymen...

Perhaps things should not be posted verbatim... ;) :D ; ;D

In any case, I would hope there could be some possibilities for the individually non-druggie troops to sue this clown, personally.
