That's the way it is here

Theft is way way way down the list
of priorities.  I would venture to say
it's not even on the list at all.
Lord help you if you try to defend
yourself or loved ones or property
here.  Then they will get in gear and
roll

When I worked at WM 10+ years ago they  quit prosecuting thieves for stealing $500 or less. A punks was caught, being interviewed in the
Sec office. He man handled the FEMALE security chief, actually the ONLY one. DEAN, a mgr intervened, punk went out back door, DEAN ran him down, tackled him, put him in choke hold. Dean was EX Marine and one of the very  few mgrs that treated us fairly. YEP, he was fired for touching and stopping the PUNK. Best sec we ever had was a man, he was so good he was hardly ever noticed. WM decided security was not needed, fired him. Lost $ 20,000 the next week. Hired a lil scrawny feller, dumber than a rock. He finally caught a big ol gal who got him down on the floor and beat the hell out of him. I lost track after that. CHARLIE.

Most every retail store around
here gets looted by the "customers "
on a regular basis. I can walk in
any store for 40 miles in any
direction and see empty packages
where things have been pocketed.
The larger majority is food items
Used to just be welfare mommies
wheeling the welfare babies around
and feeding them off the shelves.
Each kid would have a bag of chips,
a pack of cookies or a pastry, and a
juice box.  Now the adults just come
in and " shop" and eat their selections
on the spot like the kids used to.
First part of the week there was a
black woman eating one of those
rotisserie chickens back in the cold
drink aisle and had a broken 6 pack
of some kind of drink working on
the chicken and the drinks and gave
me the " I dare you to say something "
stare but didn't miss a beat on the
chicken
The store deli departments feed a
lot of people that don't pay
