New names...what are they?
« on: January 16, 2021, 03:12:48 AM »
  I have just about zero interest in any of the ball sports, but I have noticed a scramble to rename many teams, as the scramble to be politically correct.
  That leaves me wondering what names were change to what, so as not to 'offend' anyone?

  What are the Redskins now called?  How about the Chiefs?  The Vikings?

  What are some of those changes?

All this name changing is the stupidest thing I've ever seen.
If I was an "injun" I'd be proud that a pro team called themselves Chiefs, or Redskins, or Braves, etc.
It's just the communist left trying to appease antifa and blm and the "injuns."

We have 3 reservations in my county, and I get to the largest one relatively often.  I especially like to ride there on my scooter in the summer.
  They are for the most part, just regular folks, so I haven't heard any complaints over what this team or that product is named.

  The whole thing is ridiculous, for instance;

  Chicago has the Bears..has anyone checked with the bears?

Toledo has a ball team called the Mud Hens..have the mud hens been polled?

  Montreal Canadiens..have all Canadians given permission?

   ...And the Vikings..Lots of swedes in Minnesota.  Have all those of Swedish heritage been contacted?

  Have the Dolphins been renamed after dead coral yet ?

Seattle has the Seahawks and the birds are probably POed about it but have no voice to object.  ;D Dallas has the Cowboys and if the owner changed the name there would most likely be an old time lynching performed on the owner even though they are a crap team and have been for years.
