Cylinder Marks

I know alot of you all already know about this and how to maybe remedy it if there is one or if it is normal, but being new to single action revolvers and having owned only stainless steele double action revolvers in the past I don't know about this. My problem is this: I just purchased a Ruger Blackhawk in .357 mag about 2 weeks ago. Since then I have shot it quiet a few times. I noticed some marks on the cylinder running from one lock up point to the next. They are thin and straight. Can someone tell me how to keep this from scratching up my cylinder any more than it has or if it is normal and no need to worry let me know. Thanks you.

Ruger, at least in the New Model, has the bolt drop intentionally early, I suppose to insure it will lock up when the rotating cylinder notch gets there. This makes it secure, but sctratches a ring around the cylinder.
