However, basically the same people were the authors of the Declaration of independence, the preamble of which starts out"
[color=]hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,
that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.[/color]
There is little doubt that the authors were serious about what they said.
As if to add an exclamation point, each of the 50 states has a constitution, and almost all also refer to God in their preambles...
