   Yes, Afghanistan is a big "rock pile"... but under those rocks, is untold billions or trillions of dollars worth of varied minerals.
  ...But the Afghans have been to backward to tap it, so now the Taliban invites China to do so.

  Can you imagine how many billions the Taliban will now have available to launch terrorist attacks against their chief enemy...the USA?

As long as democrats are in power, the chinese will have free rein to take over Afghanistan.
