Tom Mann, founder of Mann's bait company , passed away last night in a Birmingham hospital. He left here last Sunday for heart surgery, and his daughter called back with daily reports. By Thursday Tom was doing pretty well in recovery, but it seems that  Friday he wasn't doing well at all.

I was informed as I went to work this morning. :(
His wife, Ann, is my wife's Sunday School Teacher.

I don't have any more details, but I just got home from work. I'm sure my wife will know more later.

Mr. Mann did some really good things, and did them very well.

Sad to hear that, spent many enjoyable hours at the store in Eufala, Tom certainly advanced the technology of Bass Fishing. Every time I made a sales call in the area always managed time to stop by and check out the latest baits. God rest his soul.

Deepest sympathy to the family. Have a Tom Mann signature rod like it very much.
