As Toby Kieth would say. :wink: I just got my brand new thumbhole Omega this afternoon! Sweeeeeet really says it all! :grin:

Ok Specifics. It has a 3.14 lb. trigger pull weight and a length of pull exactly 1/4" shorter than my thumbhole Extreme. It is pretty well balanced, for those with Omegas it balances at the forward (muzzle end) stock screw. The fluting is fairly deep. Without gauging it I'd say 3/32 aproxamately.

Since I recieved it today, I haven't been able to shoot it yet. Doing so is high on my priority list. So far all my impressions have been favorable on this rifle. The only real negatives are the ramrod (don't like it) and the fact that the stock isn't checkered making it feel a little slippery. I've got some T/C Shockwaves which wouldn't shoot well in my Knight to try (loose fit I belive). Hopefully it's a great shooter. I should find out in the next couple weeks (at least! :grin: ).

I hope so! :grin: I found it funny that Graf + Sons didn't even rebox it. They shipped it in the same box they received it from Thompson in. They just marked out the Thompson Label and stuck one of theirs on. I doubt they had it for 24 hours even.

Congratulations! You got to be a happy hunter to have a new Omega.
I have always liked this rifle.
