ALLEGATION HIGHLIGHTS
NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre is under fire after he allegedly failed to disclose his personal use of a yacht owned by NRA contractor David McKenzie

LaPierre claimed his travels - which took place during the summers of 2013 to 2018 - were 'security retreats' after his life was threatened

However, while he was using the yacht he attended the July 2013 wedding of his niece, Colleen Sterner, in the Bahamas

The LaPierres and Sterners are also accused of cruising around the Caribbean in McKenzie's yacht around the same time

LaPierre, who hired Sterner at the NRA, claims all of their family's travel was for the benefit of the organization

NY AG Letitia James sued the NRA in 2020 alleging top leaders diverted millions of dollars away from the organization 'for personal use by senior leadership'

It's scary, lonely, and expensive at the top...so if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, it probably isn't.  Go figure.

The corrupt organization known as NRA has become "a bureaucracy" that more and more of it membership is waking up, and migrating to organizations like the GOA. And you can't blame'em.

If he was getting death threats, being on a yacht might be safer than staying in one spot.
And since the threats were probably of domestic origin, stopping for a wedding in the Bahamas was fairly safe.
