Perhaps you have seen the ads for the "Husk Japaknives Viking blade". I have to admit that initially, I was
duped into thinking it may have been made in Japan.. (read the label)
Perhaps it is the advertising which calls it a Japanese Knife..
" Husk Viking Knives, Butcher Knives, Handmade Fishing Filet & Bait Knife Japanese Chef Knife Boning Knife Japan knives Meat Cleaver for Kitchen or Camping (Silver)" I don't know where I got that idea. Well come to find out, it wasn't forged in Japan, and not forged by Vikings!
I believe Vikings are in short supply in China...and Viking bladesmiths in even shorter supply..
Here a bladesmith critiques the knife and re-creates a duplicate, but much superior blade.
