Some will understand much by just hearing the name.. Others may be a bit puzzled..
Pastor Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a theologian, philosopher and a man with great reasoning ability. Bonhoeffer lived in Germany, throughout most of the Nazi rise to power and decline of same. Through his Christian faith, he resisted the Nazis and Hitler, as long as possible. I say through MOST of it, because he was executed by the Nazis, in a concentration camp, just 2 weeks before the allies liberted the camp.
Today, we wonder how it is trhat suddenly, crazy mobs are running our streets and doing ugly, hoirrific things. People who should know better are mking very ugly threats, ans have mouths that resemble a landfill, for all the dirt that comes out of it!
We used to be able to honestly debate the opposition, but now it seems all we get in return, is a load of slogans, or accusations of "racist" and generally closed minds..
Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote a treatise on his "Theory of stupidity"... this explanatory video is only 5 minutes in length, but although it was written in 1945, it is probably more to the point now, than it ever has been in the past !
