any security camera experts here

Is there such thing as a solar powered (wit will go on my flag pole) camera that is going to allow me to store any action on my laptop that is hooked to 5g  internet without some subscription that doesnt cost a million bucks? Something that starts recording on movement and stops after a few minutes of inactivity. I know i can get them to use an sd card but i hate climbing up a ladder and looking through 6 months of data. Im more interested in looking at the previous week or so. Even if it has a seperate recording device. If you know of something like that please give me a link. twice in the last couple months someone has stole my anti biden flag and left my american flag laying in the dirt! Pisses me off to no end. I dont use a cell phone so storing it or looking at it on one of them isnt possible.

A trail camera hidden, or outta reach would seem to be the cheapest, and best way to solve the problem.

Ring and Blink cameras have solar options, but my Blink cameras last a long time on 2 AA lithium batteries, will send alerts and record 10 second motion clips for free, longer with subscription.

I saw some of them. Only problem is the only recording is on an sd card like a trail cam and it would have to be in the open to charge with the panel and that would about mean being mounted on the pole and id have to haul a ladder and climb up everytime i wanted to access the card. I thought maybe there was a system solar powered like that thet would down load footage into my lap top but its seems all of them need a paid subscriptions. I think ill just save some money and use my trail cams that can be hidden.

The blink has an indoor controller, that stores the videos, it needs wifi and a plug.  It sends the clips to your email almost real time, and you can watch live if you want.  The ring has a card, but it also sends the clips to your phone/pc via wifi.  My two daughters have the Ring system, I have the blink system monitoring the entire house, in and out, it is scheduled to automatically go on when we are at work but can be activated manually via the app.

i ordered a caution sign from ebay that says
(censored word) WITH THIS FLAG
GET SHOT

but i had to chuckle when the wife said someone will probably just steal that. Must be the same jackass. Someone stole my trump 2024 campaign sign off the same pole this fall. Stealing the anti biden sign was no big deal but leaving our american flag laying in the dirt really pisses me off!

I'd wire my flags to a low impulse weed burner cattle fencer.  ;) You could probably catch the sob red handed when you hear him whoop  ;D

Look into KASA Cameras they run off usb I believe it’s 12 or 6 volt
You’ll have to do a little Mc giver
With small battery like we use in feeders and a solar panel
The KASA will record to your PC
I believe you may have to put a mini SD but it will go past to your PC
Take a look
I hope I’m close if not rt. On 
IDs run whatever wires rt there with the flag rope
