Ephesians Chapter 5 verse 11 doesn't say argue with darkness, it says separate yourself from it.

You must be usin one of those New Improved Versions. ::)

Rick Warren likes those bibles to

World Book Encyclopedia explains that “traditionally, the term cult referred to any form of worship or ritual observance.” By that criterion, all religious organizations could be classified as cults. However, in general usage today, the word “cult” has a different meaning. The same encyclopedia notes that “since the mid-1900’s, publicity about cults has altered the meaning of the term. Today, the term is applied to groups that follow a living leader who promotes new and unorthodox doctrines and practices.”

You are losing ground on that cult thing

   Well Dee, perhaps you should get your glasses checked, nowhere did the verse quoted say "argue"..

   That was from the ESV... English Standard Version, one of the few translations which are word-for-word, rather than "thought for thought"..
    As Bob already pointed out here are two more versions which say essentially the same thing;

   King James Bible
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

New King James Version
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.

   Perhaps the question should be...

  Why are you running cover for Locusts cultish pronouncements, rather than either reproving or exposing them?
    You are a Christian..you should feel obliged to do your duty!

      Dee; Curiously, here is a plethora of versions...and not one of then simply says to "separate" from them.
https://biblehub.com/ephesians/5-11.htm

  They all say to reprove or expose them...separating would be too simple... not confronting error.

  Hmmm...Looks like you are the one who is using one of those Rick Warren Bibles!   ;)  ;D

Gosh, I'm just shocked that your right again.  ::) You can cherry pick all you want, but scripture backs up scripture.

In the Biblical sense concerning Ephesians Chapter 5 verse 11, reprove is to reject. But I don't expect you to see that. ;)

Isaiah  Chapter 52 verse 11
John Chapter 15 verse 19
Acts Chapter 2 verse 40

  Your other  verses;

  Isaiah  Chapter 52 verse 11
John Chapter 15 verse 19
Acts Chapter 2 verse 40
2nd Timothy Chapter 3 verse 6

   Interesting to note, none of them have any real bearing upon the the subject at hand.
  Not narcissism, simply a desire to be  "rightly dividing the word of truth"..

  As a Christian, I would expect that you should be working with me to expose false teachers, rather than "running cover' for them..

     Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth  (2 Tim 2:15)

ever notice that locus showed up here about the time that Pterodactyl got banned on the other fourm? Acts about indentical. His main goal is to stir the pot and cause divisions between long standing members. It took me near a year to get him booted off the old forum. I hope it isnt the same here. Many people left that forum because of his crap.
