Surplus Wool Army blankets.
« on: January 31, 2022, 07:11:24 AM »
I just picked up two new ones for ten bucks each. Those things really keep you warm. Girlfriend did ask what’s that green thing doing on the bed? Well honey its under the comforter so you don't see it until you get in bed. She just replied Dale you were in the Air Force.

Where did you find them? Real ones are getting tough to come by. I got an Italian wool blanket, very heavy good quality but even they have dried up.

Some I see online are good, others mixed with whatever and some that are less than 50% wool.
Hold still while I overthink this.

I got mine the same way. They were made in the early 1970s and still had the military tags on them.

Harbor Freight was selling a
blended wool blanket for about
ten or so, and last time I checked
they were about eight.
Yeah, they're imported and a
blended wool, but they're a decent
serviceable blanket. I have 2 or 3
I use.

The two i have sure have come in handy with this freezing cold weather. I’m a firm believer of those pipe heaters.
