I knew a girl back in my senior year of High School 1972, that had a brand new Capri as her parents must have had some money as nobody else had a new car at 17. It was a neat small car in British racing green but had a little 4 cyl. engine and wasn’t really anything quick but I thought then if you would swap in a Buick 215 V 8 it would be really cool.
It did seem to handle the curves well and was very light and didn’t have any Ford or Mercury badges on it.
I never seen very many of them and probably haven’t seen one in the past 30 years that I can remember so they weren’t very popular.
