It has been at least 3 months since the wife has been able to find Ortega mild enchilada sauce at any of three wal-marts that she can shop. 10 Box has not had any either. They have medium and hot, but no mild. Wal-mart has even removed the labels for mild.
That's the bad part about all the big corporate
chains like wally world and online retailers.
You're pretty much at the mercy of whatever
whim their " buyers " think they should sell.
I used to buy a particular brand of pickled
jalapenos because they had just the right
flavor, and they were economical enough
to buy them ready made ready to use.
I'd ran out for whatever reason, and thought
I'd pick some up at wally world when I was
there. I made several laps up and down looking
for the peppers, and I finally found someone
to ask. He says " why no, we've never carried
those. . " and me knowing I've been buying
the product in that very store for a couple of
years. I got aggravated enough to make the
trip back home and retrieve the empty jar
and bring it back up to the store. Still get
the same answer. Nope, never had em.
I found some eventually at another place.
After about a year or so, I happened to
see them back on the shelf at the first
store and they've been in stock for some
years since.
JMHO- the modern business practices
and buying from the big box stores and
online instead of patronizing the mom
and pops has screwed things overall
for the consumer
