doe's anybody know how much powder a t/c 45 cal. speed loader will hold? there's a story behind this I would like to share.

I sold my apex 45 cal. to a guy at work that told me he was into it for for awhile. (muzzle loading) so trusting him in knowing what he did I sold it to him. gave him the manual, video, and everything else I had to go with it on friday including my book about load's and time spent at the range.he came in the follow monday with his shoulder all bruised up,I ask him how he did it and his answer was I shot the gun it kick's like a mule. I was puzzled, he then told me he was filling the speed loader's 3/4 full of powder. he then asked me what the little clear thing was with the measurements on it. I had to walk away after telling him about every thing I knew about muzzle loading. the good new's was he sold the gun to a local gun shop  because he didn't want anything that kick's like that.

Not familiar with the T/C speedloaders but my Butler Creek loaders seem to hold about 150gr of 777 if you don't put the bullet in there, only about 100gr with it.  If the .45 was bruising him I'd venture a guess that the T/C loaders hold more than mine though.

I think a blue shoulder is about the best you can expect when you don't measure your powder.  He probably doesn't realize how lucky he is.

Great story Pitbull  :)

I am a little suprised though, experts like that guy don't usually shoot their rifle until the weekend before opening day.
Dream big,
