An answer for the climate that almost everyone if they were honest can appreciate.
The greenies claim there is too much carbon in the air. Of course, we normal people dispute that...
However, there is a way of taking that carbon out of the air and putting it to good use..very good use that we
(the world) may very much need in a very short time.
The answer is in something called "carbon farming".. It entails taking carbon from the air and putting it back into the soil. Of course, we all know that carbon is one of the building blocks of life.
Here is a quote from an "environmentalist" publication, one that may not be so politically invested.;
" Agriculture and Climate Change
Agriculture and forestry practices account for at least 24 percent of global carbon emissions and 9 percent of U.S. carbon emissions (1). Under current land management practices, agriculture remains one of the leading contributors to global carbon emissions. However, it is the only economic sector with the potential to transform itself from a net carbon emitter to a net sink using practices broadly classified as “carbon farming”. These practices can help remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and store it for long periods of time in soil, microorganisms, and plant matter. Climate scientists estimate that 200 billion tons of carbon dioxide would need to be removed from the atmosphere to halt and begin to reverse the effects of climate change (2). The world’s agricultural soils can meet this challenge if change the way we grow food (3)." Desertification is on the march across the planet. Deserts, from the Gobi to the Sahara and Mojave are growing, along with all the lesser deserts. The Negev desert in Israel is the only desert which is receding; due to wise Israeli management.
These deserts could be reclaimed, and current farmlands be vastly improved, by proper carbon farming.
The stickler? Well, the huge farming operations which make their fortunes by depleting the soil, will have to switch gears a bit...the cash grubbing dick-taters around the world will have to want to do something worthwhile for their people..and the enviro-whackos would have to turn from their political aims, an ddo something that is actually worthwhile.
BY use of carbon farming, we could continue our petroleum based economy, and since the soil is eager and willing to absorb the carbon and turn it into food, the world would prosper.
