Yesterday I went to have the stitches removed from my first surgery and have another basal cell removed. I knew there was a problem with the first although I had followed instructions on washing it with hydrogen peroxide and coating it with vaseline to the letter. Sure enough it was absessed and they drained it after removing the stitches. "Draining" is using one word to say "We are going to squeeze the hell out of it until nothing more comes out" and that is exactly what happened. Holy cow and Creeping Christmas, that hurt, with a capital H. Then I got a huge bandage taped over it to catch anything that was missed. That plus the big pressure bandage on the left side of my forehead made me look like I had been in a bad car accident according to the PA that did the squeezing and bandaging. Things sure feel a lot better today than they did last night. Two down, two to go.
