That is a very nice picture. Is that Prince Willim Sound area? It doesn't look like S.E. Panhandle, Not enough trees.
DM, Where did you have your gunshop? I was wondering if we've met.

  Mike,

When you take the cutoff  and are going toward Seward, a few miles down the road there's a little "trailhead" on the right.  I can't think of the name of it.  (do you know the name?)   You can park there and go up into the mountains and waaaaaay back in there, there's a nice forestry service cabin.  Do you ever go in there???

Yes, it goes up to Cresent Lake.  Pretty back there. We used to snowmachine back there and it was great but the USFS closed it down. Pretty good fishing back there too IF you know where to look! :)

  Hi Doug,

That Dall was the longest shot of my hunting career, and i figured he was very close to 350 yards away...

I was hunting with a Rem. 700, chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag., using 140 NP's...

He was up on the mountain in the left of the pict...  and at the shot, he slid/rolled to where he is in the pict...

Some swedish cariboos

When we were trekking in the north swedish mountains close to the norwegian border in July, we were suddenly surrounded by a large reindeer herd. The lapps had just finished their annual reindeer counting in July, and there were reindeers in every bush. Hunting reindeer isn't allowed here, although some bulls have really nice trophies.

One afternoon we camped by a little lake, and still in July there was some snow left on the hills. We angled and caught a trout, but there were also some really big ones, that we saw in the clear water, but we didn't manage to catch them.
