Well, they had a little shooting scrape in Uvalde Texas yesterday.

Some gang members disagreed and popped a few rounds off wounding two.

The location was "Uvalde MEMORIAL Park".

Wonder who's fault this shootin was?

doesn't make the news very often

There's crimes of every sort in every
place you can go, a lot of people don't
hear about it, and many choose to
ignore it as long as their own apple
cart remains intact

John VanHelm

A few years ago, someone in the Dallas
hierarchy (don't remember who)requested
that the state highway patrol assist the
police dept because of the astronomical
murder rate and  crime in general.
They did a pretty good job while they were
here IMO, but a good many of the citizenry
didn't like it at all and were upset because
they were getting pulled over at 3:30 am
and some arrested because they were
reeking of pot and alcohol and generally
didn't like the interference with their
hood lifestyle. It's ok if so-and-so gets
shot in a driveby or is the recipient of
a home invasion robbery, just let me
have a pull on the pipe and guzzle my
40 ounce and eat my hot poke skins
and collect my monthlies and leave
me be.
It wasn't long after a too short time
period of excellent police work and
total apathy and incompetence by
the DA's office that Texas DPS was
asked to vacate Dallas and not come
back.
A good many here love to wallow in
their crime and partake of their vices
until they need the poeleece

One problem is that so many jurisdictions have pulled the teeth of the police. 
  What in  &^#@% do they think the criminal element is going to do? Do they think the drug dealers and gang-bangers are going to share pizza parties together?

  If the 'leaders' in these cities had any gumption at all, they should Establish special anti-drug anti-gang units, that have some teeth, and no ifs, ands, or buts from the usual circles.  They could be limited to just those crimes.

   It seems like the gangs were slowed a bit by Elliott Ness and his "untouchables", back in the 1930s.
