More grandkid fishing
« on: October 25, 2022, 06:21:29 AM »
We went again last Friday afternoon and somewhat earlier than the week before. All the kids caught fish this time after grandpa found where they were, about 10 feet off the bank. Lots of laughter an "I got one" was heard. The 11 year old is a dedicated fisher girl and did her own thing closer to the bank and had the second most catches. Even the four and six year olds caught some and everyone all left happy and said they had fun. The only time a phone came out was when the oldest took my picture with my "huge" first catch.

We will go again later this week when the weather warms back up. We had a low of 34.5 last night. I AM NOT ready for winter. Nothing I can do about it but still don't like it. One bright spot is the state will start stocking trout in the lake next month and the fishing will pick up for the kids. By then it will be fuzzy lined wranglers and a light jacket for me out at the lake.

Don’t know if you have them or not but polypropylene long handles and liners/socks are a must for the colder weather. There are thin and thick, if really cold thin first then thick over top followed by your clothing. I have extra’s I’d send ya. No chargee for round eye...

Thanks for the offer but I have a pretty good supply of that gear left from my hunting days. I even have a good pair of boots left from when I road snowmobils but if it's that cold this old guy is just going to stay home.

Next trip the three year old GGdaughter gets to go. Someone is in for some fun or headaches and I hope her momma get to be there to share.

I just checked the weather report. No fishing for them later this week as we are going to have some wind but only up to 40 mph. Even the fish will be hunting a hole.
