Auxiliary water system.
« on: January 23, 2023, 12:06:00 PM »
Because, i put this in when we first moved in here. The water coop was always screwing up. 1000 gal tank, pumps and switch valves. 20 kw 1800 rpm generator and a transfer switch, and six full spare gas cans. Up and running again .  Wife can take a shower now.  :) All is good again she’s a happy camper.

Coop called me and asked if we were ok. I said yes we are doing fine. We are preppers  ,this is only a trial run to us lol.
She laughed, and said maybe we need to put in an Auxiliary system like that.  she’s good people.

I'm surprised some gubmint someone
hasn't come by and told you that the
whole thing was illegal, and would have
to be dismantled, and that you'd have to
use municipal water sources or else.
The ptb are not happy with people that are
semi or completely self sufficient.

I have a small 115/230 volt generator that will run my well pump but since we went to electric water heaters a shower will be a cold one. Our water comes out of the ground at 65 degrees, not something I would enjoy in the least on a winter day.

Ours works everything ok at 20kw.  Miller ,bobcat , and welds good also for other things.

up here your kind of screwed. Want an out house you need a permit and they dont give them out much anymore. There only given out on a temporary basis.  Want a septic? To get a permit you have to show your water source (well or point) is far enough away from the drain field so you have to show them your water source. Dont know about where you live but the tax assessor comes around here every year or two to reassess the house and camp and if there was an outhouse added his office is right next to the building codes office. I know some dont mind but im to old to live where theres no well and surely im not using an outhouse. Ended that even at camp 20years ago. You say auxilary water system. Do you also have a regular well? if so im curious as to why go through the bother of doing all of that

They'll see it eventually
The assessors have satellite photos of
everything here, and unless you're a border
jumper, they look for whatever they can
find to tax you with.  On the other hand,
there's houses in every direction here that
have illegal additions and modifications
like second stories added improperly with
no permits or inspections,  and privacy
fencing built sans permit and not according
to code. I could spend several days pointing
code violations out within walking distance.
The inspectors turn a blind eye to anything
associated with border jumpers
