Dali Llama say there unfortunately be some disgruntled (yea even banned!) persons on aforementioned site who insist on disparaging Graybeard Outdoors and its patrons.

For the record none of them was banned. Their accounts were deactivated per their request. Not for cause on my part but only in compliance with their specific request.

Now it is true they are acting rather childish in their remarks there. I see what appears to be to be an attempt by some to start a war between the two sites or members there of and a concerted effort by those folks to pull people from all over the internet to their site. If it is worthy it will stand on its own. If it isn't all the posting and begging for folks to come will not help. Time will tell. But historically unmoderated sites that allow folks to say and do as they please usually self destruct.

Dali Llama say his reference to banning refer to BoA, as Dali read of such fate of BoA on another forum.  Dali say, however, he learn later that BoA actually ask to be removed from Graybeard Outdoors.  Dali say sorry for mistake he make, and he learn valuable lesson about accepting as truth what he read on other forum....

Hello everyone,

Good to see all the familiar faces from MT forum. I just found this forum today. Looks like a great place to call HOME. Lots of new subjects to browse. Thanks to Graybeard for a warm welcome. Thought I was going to go crazy with no place to keep up with current events and smell of GUN POWDER. I don't do a lot of posting, but sure do enjoy the reading and great imformation. Again my thanks to Graybeard and the rest of the staff for such a great Forum.

Hello to all former MT posters, as well as GBO members, Papajohn428 is finally back among you.  No wiser, no better, but still here, it's been a rough time.  Once that scurvy little lizard scuttled MT, I drifted for awhile, then washed ashore on a desert island.  Eventually I came to other sites, but was corrupted by their lies and before I knew it I had bought a (gasp!) Black Rifle.  While I have confessed my sins, I have also enjoyed it, and it has expanded my horizons a bit.  Still, when I get lonely and cold, my stainless Marlin 44 comforts me, and the Marlin 357 and 35 purr at my feet.
And then there is GBO, and the balance of life is once again restored.
Good to see all these familiar names, those with new names will just be confusing to us old farts.

Hi everyone, glad to see so many familiar names from the MT board.  I've been drifting around trying to find a new home.  Was frequenting MarlinOwners.com, but it seems to have disappeared..  I see the Dali is here along with JH45gun and several others.  Anyone seen the Doc (Sharptail) here or anywhere?  Glad to be here.  Glen

Yes sir it did.  I posted the probability of it being shut down by the host well in advance.  Getting a dedicated server set up worked out for the site at the moment.  She will be back up on a better setup.  I do have a page up now at that url on a temp account letting people know it is returning.  I don't claim to be much but I am a man of my word if nothing else.

Best wishes to all here.  This is a nice site.  Never visited here until after I set up marlinowners.

Dali.... rest assured I think of you everytime I pick up my 39.  Your dedication to it at MT was what pushed me over the hump to finaly get one.  As if I hadn't wanted one for years but you did give me the final umph!

Larry, Dunno if you got it or not as I sent it thru your site's e-mail system but I sent you information about the company that hosts my site. I think the package I had with 20 gigs of monthly data transfer on a shared server would do you for a long time.

I've now upgraded to a dedicated server with 1000 gigs per month of band width to get a server fast enough to handle the traffic here. The shared server packages tho are really fast and do fine until you get to the point you exceed 20 gigs of transfer per month. Chances are that will be a long time for you starting up a new site.

Great! The only site that I've found that has "SpellCheck". Now I won't have to look up words anymore to get the correct spelling. Just hit the "SpellCheck" and it does it all for me.

It's back! Marlinowners went back online today! Now we have another great forum to check in on!
I'd just like to comment on the help that Graybeard has offered to Larry, and Marlinowners. That sir, was a very classy move! Not too many sites would offer such a helping hand. You are a true gentleman!
