Saturday I swung into a local Yamaha dealer. My wife was wondering what I was stopping for, but figured I was looking at motorcycles. On the sidewalk there it was, in all it's camo glory, the Rhino. So I sat down behind the wheel and was immediately impressed with the comfy seat and leg room. My wife sat in the passanger seat and we ooohhhed and ahhhhed. The salesman came out and we talked. Then he said, "What, you've never driven one". My reply was that was the 1st one I'd ever seen in person. He ot the key, pointed out some grassy area at the far end of the parkign lot and away we went.
It wasn't much of an off road trip, but I must say that compared to my Kawasaki Mule, I was so impressed with the power off the line, the ride was great! It definately sits up higher than my mule, and I even liked the arrangement of the controls. Wow! but it had no problem spinning the tires and taking off across that grass, and the few bumps I could find were handled easily.
So, next year, the Mule will be sold and a new 2004/05 Rhino will be purchased by me. Can't wait to take it out in the woods.
