I will also post this in the handloading forum, but does any have any information on outfits (outside the usual catalog houses) having really good deals on surplus powder, bullets and cases.

Right now I am looking for 30/06 cases, 150 grain fmj bullets and surplus ball powder for that combination to use in an M-1 rifle.

You should check out those gun shows at your Civic auditorium at Glendale, AZ.

Some of the best reloading bargains I've ever found were there.

The 150 grain/147 grain surplus M80 FMJ (for 7.62 NATO ammo) works just fine in the M1 Garand.

Winchester 748 powder is my commercial powder choice, as are several others. The surplus Israeli powders are excellent too.

Thank you John, but I don't care for the gun shows. By the time you pay for the parking and the admission there is that added expense just to begin walking around and looking.

I was wanting to find some regular resources who are selling bulk demil powder, bullets and cases, that hopefully would be avilable for repeat orders as necessary.

But really some really good deals would be more helpful.

At northwest loading supply they have the 150 FMJ your looking for I just ordered 1,000 for $60 there pulled out of loaded rounds. They have other stuff too. I bought it for shooting my FN49 in '06 thats affordable for shooting paper than using speer hunting rounds. The prices sure have doubled since i reloaded last. BigBill

You can also checkout; the-armory, ammostore too but northwest loading is the cheapest for military bullets.

147 gr. Original application is 7.62mm NATO Ball M80. This is a FMJBT Spitzer. Ball M80 These bullets are collet pulled (no marks) and are polished.
