this horse has been rode to death. but in encore,what barrels would cover about everything. i have the contender, but want a encore.i will get a        20 or 12 smoothbore                                                                             243                                                                                                     then probably 3 more barrels , but which 3 :D thanks in advance

Not that I need to be, but I have been thinking the something along the same line for my Encore, I got a 25/06 instead of the .243,  a 209x50 and now think about a 300 Win Mag.

Hmmm....

.223 to handle anything up to coyote size.

.30-06 as a genral cover it all (or if your a .270 fan, your choice.)

And

.375 H&H for squirrels  :-D

This is what I will probably end up with come next year (or two.)  I already have the 06.  I will probably also add a .45/70.   And in a pistol form Im getting a .454 Casull bbl.
