Hey all.  I am from Long Island.  I don't know if any of you know but Gander Mountain just opened up a store in Middletown NY.  Exit 120 off of 17.  One minute from the highway.  It is a great store.  The Rifle, shotgun, and pistol section is awesome.  What a huge selection.  Ya gotta go there.   I was also speaking to one of the employees there and they said that Cabelas was coming to Newburg.  I cant wait.

I was in that Gander Mountain in Middletown and all it did was leave a sour taste in my mouth watching parents let their kids run around working actions and fooling around with the long guns...I didn't stay long, had to leave before I did something to get me arrested like knocking some sense in their heads...

I shop at the one in Tonawanda(Buffalo area)...Nice big store...Hopefully it won't force the little archery shops and gun smiths out of business in our area.  I still frequent the archery proshop that sold me my last bow...Gotta keep that guy in business...Much more personable than the big stores.  I like that personal touch.

Yes, we are getting Bass Pro Shop in Auburn, I can't wait.  But I also heard that they are planning on putting a Gander Mountain up in Cicero!!!!  Now that would be awesome as well.

Rumor has it that Cabela's is looking at a store to be located in Ripley NY,  just north of Erie, Pa.

Hello,
I understand that Cabela's intends to build a store in Newburgh,in 2005.
They either bought or optioned property off Route 300;about a half mile from where they are building a connection for route 84 and the Throughway.

There has been some rumblings for a time now about a possible Bass Pro Shops going in the old Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo.  Would be a nice addition to the area.  We certainly need the revitalization...All the potential that Buffalo has and it is squandered as per usual.  The politicians can't seem to get their heads out of their back sides long enough to see the big picture.
