firefly reticle and prairie dogs?
« on: March 24, 2004, 01:11:57 PM »
I'm considering putting a 5-15x40 Elite on my 17 HMR.  I mainly use this gun for prairie dogs, but would like to try it coon hunting.  Is the firefly reticle to thick for prairie dogs out to 200 yds?  I don't want to lay out the extra cash if it will inhibit my p-dog shooting.  Thanks!

From what I have seen yes. I don't think it would be very good for long range prairie dogs. KN

I wouldn't recomend it either. It is a little thicker than the standard crosshair.
