Deer Season: 2004
« on: March 30, 2004, 05:53:25 AM »
I don't know about you guys, but I can not wait to start filling my freezer again with tasty venison.  Since I now hunt with a bow, muzzleloader, and centerfire weapons, the season will run from Sept. 27th to Dec. 22. (I think)  Spencer and I are already planning new stand and blind locations, and I am acquiring permission to hunt some new locations close to home.
Yee ha!  Less than 6 months to go...

Oh yeah, Spencer and I are also planning on going up near Old Forge in Sept. for black bear.  Is the state land decent up there?  Or is it too crowded?
Praise the Lord, and pass the ammunition!

With all the public land in the adirondacks there are more deer than people,
We hunt for 2 weeks in the Long Lake area every fall, stay in the state shelters and except on the lakeor at Stewart's rarely find a sole in the woods.
Good Luck & bring your G P S

Note to self.  Save up for GPS and learnhow to use.
A bad day of hunting is better than a good day at the golf course.
