I drive an early 2000s Japanese SUV, and, when I need to move soething fairly substantial, a slightly older Detroit 3/4T p/u. I am committed to spending however much money it takes to keep those vehicles on the road for as much longer as I am capable of driving them (septuagenarian). I can't see that expense amounting to anywhere near the prices I see published for new equivalents, anyway. If either vehicle goes completely belly-up prematurely, I will do my very best to replace it with an equivalent example from the same period. I cannot countenance even the concept of a vehicle that spies on me, let alone one that would attempt to "outreason" me...
