Many years ago 1 or 2 churches tried to get it started, but luckily it didn't work. Having never been a fan of Christmas music, I don't miss it

About the only Christmas music
I ever enjoyed was way back years
ago when the Andy Williams Christmas
specials was a thing on television.

IMO I haven't seen anything suitable
since that went away

Thanksgiving has been my idea of
a reverent holiday for some years now,
but with most of the older people
gone, it's kinda faded away. The
newer generations want to watch
television and get drunk/high
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

Most Christians seem to consider Easter as the epitome of a sacred holiday, since it marks the resurrection..  But hey; they are all beautiful, and choice is a personal thing.

Here is a relatively new carol, which hbas abouit moved to the top of my list.  Beautiful tune,. melody or whatever...but when such moving
lyrics are included..it gets to me.

They used to do it in my home town decades back but that was back when Downtown was where 99 percent of the businesses were so people were not spread out in the edges of town shopping but were in the heart of town.

At the same time that was when a goodly number of small country churches were still operating also; that also is becoming history.

As children we found it to be a good way to get treats and Christmas money... My earliest experience as a toddler had strangers at my door singing wonderfully, then my poor parents gave them money...

Now that is curious, must be a local custom.  I don't think carolers here would know what to do if money were handed to them !

Some homes may invite them for a cup of tea of hot cider, but if they accept at each house, they would never finish their rounds,

However, this carol singing would be stationary, at one address.
