I still have a good many Buck knives,
but not one of that model.
It should be a good choice if that's the
configuration you want.
All the Buck knives I have are sharp
cutting tools built for use

I have a Moore Maker out of Matador Texas, its a good knife and I usually opt for carbon steel only knives, but I just liked the looks of this one. I'll make a horizontal sheath for it and if it's better than my Moore Maker it'll be my EDC and my bull calf knife

I've used assorted Buck cutlery for
a good many wt deer and swine and
fish. I wouldn't think there'd be a problem
making steers with one of their products.

I like the shape of the blade better than my  MM, it'll be a matter of which edge lasts longer.

Yeah I got one of those somewhere around here. Used it to field dress several deer over the years. Used to carry it with me all the time.
