This may be a little tounge in cheek kinda thingie,but.....................at 54 I have found that it is a lot easier than having to search out the grey hairs that pop up a lot as of late. Now that I managed to get some peoples attention, here is what I actually have to say. We are a finite group of hunters, sportsman(and a couple of sportswomen) who enjoy shooting the true muzzleloaders. We do not discuss the merits of in-lines in the modern form, but do discuss the firearms that either are originals prior to the cartridge rifle types( which again,is a passing fad). Some of us have vast amounts of knowledge to pass on to readers/shooters/etc that may not have the this knowledge. Over time I have discovered some interesting things about our sport. When on the range, actually shooting(and I know others have discovered this) we will generate a great deal of interest in exactly what it is that we are shooting at the moment. It is up to us to show these people the joys of seeing how much fun this actually is. Some of the shooters that I know will use nothing else but 777 in thier frontstuffers, this is up to them, and I also show them on the chrony and with little groups that this can be done with the real powders also. It is projectile placement, coupled with size to a smaller degree that puts game down. Target is another ballgame here and mild recoil and very small groups is what is wanted. I know that this is rambling to a small degree but the point is that we all are ambassadors of our sport and it is up to use to keep it alive. I have found that many of the in-line guys have switched to the old guns as a point of interest and challange. I know of three at present who have thiers up for sale, and have gone from caplocks, down to the flintlocks and are rather rabid about the fun they have with the last. I shoot both and have them from roundball guns to the GIBBS which is a connical frontstuffer circa 1865. We have to each do our best to help those that may be even mildly interested in this...........................stay safe..............King
