Got my trigger guard and backstrap assembly back from being reblued after my mis-adventure with the custom grips... she looks great now.
I detail stripped the revolver, as it was absolutely drenched in thin oil from the factory. Here's what I found inside:
-No hidden machining marks, burrs, or flaws to speak of.
-A tiny spring loaded pin held in by an equally tiny screw tensions the hand... no worries of broken springs, but be prepared to whip out a jeweller's screwdriver if you detail strip.
-Music wire spring tensions the trigger and bolt.
After sopping up all the oil and relubing with Militech oil and grease, she's slicker than snot on a doorknob!
Range performance wasn't bad, but with Black Hills 250 grain lead FP (traditional profile bullet) she shot a couple inches low at 25 and 50 feet (indoor range). Once I get the loading stuff dug out and set up I'm sure I can improve on that.
