Item number 520-713.

Just bought some 160g 7mm XLC's  (item 817-960) for same price.  They also have .308" and .338".

For the record, the XLCs on sale are not the standard XLC bullet.

The sale models have a cannelure and are slightly pointier than the normal XLCs.  They were made to spec for an ammo maker -- my guess PMC -- who wanted to switch to the new xxx models. Thus, the sale price.

I talked to Barnes and they said the standard loadings should work OK but you may have to fiddle a bit with OAL.

I bought four boxes of the .257 XLCs so I'll be experimenting too.

Good luck,
oneb

THanks - I wasn't aware they weren't the standard bullet.  I bought a couple boxes of the 160g 7mm bullets and just looked - yup, they have a cannelure, too.

The cannelure won't matter for my purposes, as when I seat to the same COL as my "standard" XLC loads, the cannelure will be just inside the neck.   Longer COL and it would be iffy getting them in the magazine and the the distance to the lands from a loaded cartridge would be too small.
