i dont usually watch football but the wife does and its play offs so i didnt fight it. watched the packers absolutely destroy the cowboys and the wifes lions wooped the rams. said it was the worse play off game for dallas since 92 when detroit beat then 38-6. which by the way was the last time detroit won a play off game.

I lost interest in football way back in the seventies BUT every now and then the Vikings get an alternate Quarterback to what they are supposed to have.
That, gets my interest; I like to watch to see how the -- He's not supposed to be here -- does.

I lost my great annoyance at the Vikings loss to Dallas way, way, way  back in the early seventies on a bad (non) referree call decades ago but oddly, I do like to see Greenbay and Detroit do well in post season. (No love for the Bears for reasons I cannot explain).

I actually hope Detroit gets to, and wins , the Super Bowl so they can ribs the Vikings: You lost 4 times, we got their once and WON!

FaceButt has some pages that are actually worth looking at IF you know they are there.

it aint dallas or the vikings the wife hates. its the packers. up here in the UP of mich theres more packer fans than lions fans. i havent really got into football since i got out of the service. lost complete interest in nascar since the golden (brown) boy bubba wallace showed up and the whole thing went woke. ill watch an occasional redwing hockey game occasionaly but nothing like i used to follow them. ive never wasted 5 minutes watching basketball or any college sport

The only thing more sporting than a Hockey game, is Curling, or ice fishing.

at least hockey is still physicaly demanding. not even time between possessions to catch your breath. No dont breath hard on the quarterback because he has a contract for 10 million a year. or a penalty for holding someone's shirt or not hitting the right spot when tackling. for what pro athletes make it should be more like the roman gladiators. they should be willing to die. football isnt even the same game it was 20 years ago. add to that it isnt overrun by b---- players and its the least woke sport because of it. if a player kneeled for the anthem before a hockey game hed probably get his ass handed to him by both teams.

My grandson, who participated in MMA, on a local level, says that mixed martial arts has now gone the way of professional wrestling.

  There are still very capable fighters still involved, but how long will they hold out against pure "show business" ?

My oldest was in mma several years ago and tried to give Linda and I tickets to one of his fights. I told him I didn't want to watch someone beat on my kid, and that was the end of it.
I seen lots of folks, male, and female, with the snot beat out of'em, even beat to death, and never found it appealing. To me, that's MMA.
Boxing was a discipline, while MMA seems to be brutality, for the sake of brutality.
Maybe knife fights will be the next attraction.

I worked with a young guy that got into MMA. He was missing work because if injuries, and finally got out of it when he had bleeding inside a kidney. Always wondered why someone would want to get into MMA. Must have something to do with testerone. Even the best fighters get beat up, cut, broken bones, etc.

Haven't heard that one played at any of the games I've watched. Heard the National Anthem though.
