Dalmatian pointer!!!
« on: December 18, 2002, 02:19:43 AM »
Hi all, just curious if anyone has ever heard of hunting with a Dalmatian... I have an eight year old Dalmatian named Disney, and very much by accident, I discovered she is a great pointer. We live next to a golf course, and I was walking her along the creek there a few years ago, when she suddenly went into as good a point as you have ever seen. She is a real natural... here is a picture of my best friend, Disney. IronKnees

:) There is no reason why your dog wouldn't be a good hunter. Somewhere back in time we got dogs for huntin. They're just good at a lot of other stuff too.
Your dog looks nice.

Best bird dog I ever hunted over was a Dalmation/Beagle cross. Would point with the best of them, flush on command. Fat as a hog, couldn't work but about 2 hours without a good, long rest, but a pure joy to hunt with.
On the 19th of April, 1775, a tyrannical government sent an army to disarm its citizens. They ran into a touch of trouble.
