Ammo checkers
« on: February 17, 2024, 10:10:18 AM »
Got 2 ammo checkers for .308. One is a Lyman, the other a Hornady. Never had any problems, both a bolt and AR-10. Loading earlier today, dropped a finished round into the Lyman, and it didn't drop in all the way. About 1/8 of an inch sticking out. Grabbed the Hornady, and dropped right in, bottom of the case flush. Use a Redding FL die, case length is good. Never noticed it before. Not afraid to shoot them, guess maybe the Lyman might just have a bit tighter tolerance than the Hornady?
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman

Dunno, I think I have 3 all Lyman and all multi-caliber for both pistol and rifle rounds. If they drop all the way in they fit my guns, when one doesn't drop it, then it also usually doesn't fit the gun.
