Strawhat, reminds me of the old 20's and 30's movies that featured flintlocks but used the trapdoor rifle. Looks like you used a 1841 type stock to make up your trapdoor. Nice work. Frank

I used an Italian replica of the 1841 Mississippi for the basic parts.  I wrote about it in this thread.

  This is a converted Hopkins & Allen falling block shotgun , now a 50-70 cartridge gun.
 The barrel is permanently silver soldered into the receiver and the take down screw is also permanetly fastened into the barrel shank. The rifle functions very well and is accurate.
 The picture quality is not good, the stocks look beter than the pic shows.          Jedman

sporterized 12/15 cut down barrel and forend, resharped butt stock. international mk III, bottom is a winchester 52D. both international and 52 worked on by kenyon.
