I just want to post an update. The engagement was for just a month ago, but a snow storm intervened, so we postponed it until last night.
So, I drove over there... light dinner at 6 PM, service starts a 7 PM..
I opened with joke and read (James 2:1-9), warning the folks that the message may be lengthy, and employed th eold jest , while placing
my watch on the podium.
I figured an hour, but the people were enthusiastic'and it went an hour and a half.
Many hands to shake and hugs to recieve, Request of their pastor.. by congregation, to have me back at some time soon..
They presented me with a generous honorarium.
..Just an update, no need to reply or stir things up anew.
