Francis Scott Key bridge collapse.
« on: March 26, 2024, 02:10:19 AM »
The Francis Scott Key bridge running between Baltimore and Washington DC has collapsed, after being struck by container ship.  Authorities not
sure how many cars were on the bridge at the 1:30 AM, time of collapse.  Bridge seems well built, using primarily triangles, which any engineer
woild say, is the strongest structural design for such work.

Probably much traffic will be thrown onto the Ft McHenry tunnel.  Ft McHenry is about 5 miles distant, and is the point of inspiration for Francis
Scott Key's writing of our national anthem.

Two people so far, rescued from the water..at least seven more being searched for.  Air and water temps are in the 40s.

Rest secure though, transportation secy Pete Budigeig is on the job, and watching out for our national interests.

Funny how within 6 hours of the bridge falling in the water the investigation was over and deemed just an acident. Then 4 hours after that the Biden regime claims the tax payers are going to foot the whole bill for the rebuild. I'm sure if it was an Exxon oil tanker or some other hated oil company they would be paying for the rebuild. Also there are suggestions that it was a cyber attack, which I certainly wouldn't rule out.

No way!  The shipping co. should be carrying adequate insurance.  I wonder..does slippery Joe have some interest in the shipper?

My friend has a mining and hauling co.  one of his drivers absent mindedly, somehow got the lift lever engaged..and going down the road at regular
speed, his lifted box hit a bridge, knocking it off it's footer.

Dick's company wouyld have been ruined...except fortunately, the bridge was due to be demolished, starting the following month..

I did hear the captain of the container ship is Ukrainian. Then I heard he is Indian.  Who knows the truth? I know one thing I believe nothing anymore that comes from the main stream media. They have been wrong, and lied so much, and so often. It would be foolish to believe anything coming from them.

...And the ship was registered out of Indonesia.  I suppose Indonesia is fine, but I have heard that some register ships out of second or third world countries, because they are not so strict with inspections..

Not saying it is definitely true, but it's what I heard.. Perhaps somebody here has experience in the field.

Cyber attacks I think coud happen. Everything is controled by computers, and hacking into a ships computer could be possible. Not saying that is what happened, but is certainly possible. The ship did turn before it lost power. I'm sure a rudder could be contrtoled from a computer hack. So lots of why questions. Just seems odd that the Biden regime came out so quickly and deemed it just an accident, and the fact the tax payers are going to pay for it. Whats the difference anyway? The money will just be printed.
Also why that bridge? Its one of the most important and vital transit and shipping lanes in the country.  Its the largest port for car and truck imports in the country, and is the second largest port in the country for exporting coal. Coal is something the climate change wackos dispise.
Just wonder about the engineering aspect of the collapse. How did a ship striking one pier take practally the whole bridge down?  The projected rebuild is 3 to 5 years.

While in port some repair was being done on the engine or engines. Dunno what kind of repair, perhaps just routine scheduled maintenance but regardless they were being worked on. I'd look to that as the reason for the total engine failure that happened.

We might never know the real truth in this. They have the black box or boxes like planes have so they should already know far more than they are sharing.

Who owns the Dali cargo ship?
The ship shares a name with one of history's most celebrated artists, Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali.

Built by South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries, one of the world's largest shipbuilders, the Dali was launched in late 2014. It's owned by Grace Ocean Private Ltd, flies a Singapore flag and is powered by diesel engines.

Danish shipping giant Maersk had chartered the Dali for a planned trip from Baltimore to Sri Lanka, but the ship didn't get far.

The U.S. Coast Guard said the ship, named Dali, underwent “routine engine maintenance” in port beforehand. U.S. Coast Guard Rear Admiral Shannon Gilreath added that they were not informed of any problems. The ship collided into a support pillar early Tuesday, causing the span to buckle into the ri

Back in 2017, a couple US Navy ships somehow lost control, and crashed into freighters..all in the far east, in or going to..the south china Sea.

Lara Logan has a contrary view from most of her journalistic peers.  She is worth considering.  She could be laughed off, but she has a history of

Read were they might have lost the engine due to the diesel fuel they had. All electricity on those ships comes from the power of the diesel running a generator. You can see the black smoke when they get the emergency generator going, to late by then. Still wonder why they don't make the tugboats stay connected until under the last bridge?  Might not have been able to stop the collusion, but at least slow it down to were it wasn't as bad.

I had heard Lara Logan claim this early on, and I'm certainly more inclined to believe her, compared to anything coming from the lying mainstream media. I had heard where the NTSB claimed there were 2 minutes the black box quit recording. Yeah right!

More on the bridge collapse. A lot of what Lara Logan says makes sence.

Retired Gen. Michael Flynn is calling it a ''Black Swan'' event. Did find out that, the port there is one of the largest ones for the military cargo ships to pass thru. And seen a diagram of what might have taken place, plus an overhead picture of the bridge. When you see the span between the supports that a ship can go through, and the course the ship was on, real puzzling. This might go down like the JFK assignation. We'll all be dead before the truth comes out, if ever.
